The Process

Three licenses, in order.

Pennsylvania splits mobile-food regulation across the county (health), the borough (business), and a specific mobile-vendor license. All three are required to operate at von C.

  1. 01

    Health Inspection

    Montgomery County Health Department.

    Mobile food vendors operating at von C must hold a current Montgomery County Health Department inspection certificate. The inspection is filed with the county; turnaround is roughly two weeks. Bring the certificate the first day you vend — we keep a copy on file.

  2. 02

    Borough Business License

    Borough of Norristown.

    A Norristown business license is required for any vendor operating commercially within the borough — including mobile food trucks parked at the brewery. Proof of current commercial liability insurance is required; we are happy to be named as an additional insured upon request.

  3. 03

    Mobile Food Vendor License

    Norristown Mobile Food Vendor.

    The Borough of Norristown issues a separate Mobile Food Vendor License covering on-site operation of food trucks within the municipality. Annual renewal. Processed alongside the business license and the health inspection certificate.
